ABOUT DRESCH GUITARS
What sets a Dresch Guitar apart from an off the rack guitar? The feel, playability and tone. Players often remark how fast the necks feel. How they are able to play difficult passages much easier on a Dresch guitar than on other guitars. The difference is in the man who builds them. That man is Mike Dresch.
This isn't an assembly line guitar that many people work on. This is a guitar built from the ground up by one guy. One set of hands from start to finish. One man with one vision and years of experience on what a great guitar is supposed to sound and play like.
Mike Dresch has built up a reputation in his hometown as THE guy to bring your guitar to. Why? Because he can make it play like noone else. Mike also owns and operates one of the midwest's most utilized and respected recording studios. He has worked with musicians on both a national and local level. He has several national and major label releases to his credit. This man knows what works in the studio and having played live in bands since the mid 80's, he also knows what works live as well.
Many luthiers have great wood working skills. Not all of them are well rounded musicians as well. It's incredibly important to know the importance of intonation and what works tonally with regards to wood combinations and the affect that various types of hardware has on tone. We have the experience to make you a great, toneful, guitar that will likely play better than any you have ever owned before. We want you to love your guitar as much as we love building it for you. We are confident you will because after all, we love guitars too!
