Average Skateboard Co. takes pride in their products and strives to product the highest level of quality. All of our boards start with hand selected Maple vaneers of Canadian Hard Rock Maple. It is no secret that Maple is the industry standard when it comes to quality and strength. We take it a step further to insure that all of our vaneers are as free from defects as possible. All Average decks are 7 plys of maple pressed in a cross-grained construction. This means that no two consecutive plys of Maple are grained in the same direction. This insures that Average boards are among the strongest and most durable on the market.
Anyone who knows anything about wood or wood products knows that half of the products strength lies in the type of wood and the quality of the wood used. The other half comes from the adhesives used to bond the materials. Average uses our unique LokResin adhesives to ensure that the curing process leaves no air pocketing, and dries harder than the wood itself. LokResin cures in a way that adds strength and snap to the decks. This elevates that ever so important 'pop' factor.
